There is no better place to learn your writing skills or to improve them, than Chautauqua. It's still a fantasy land to me but not as much so as it was on my first visit. Way back then most things were still frontierish (computer says frontierish is not a word or is spelled wrong). This is my story and like Sinatra said, "I'll do it my way." Anyway back in the early days, the Spencer Hotel, where I stayed was like stepping back into western days. The hotel is still there but the current owner has changed it on the inside. Now for the crying issue. Like I said some people cry easily. When I had my first critique at Chautauqua, I was such a greenhorn, I didn't know up from down. When my mentor said, "You don't know a thing I'm talking about, do you?" Actually, I think he was referring to writing terminology rather than my story although I had two stories in one. Sometimes one may think their mentor has sharp teeth, but I haven't ever heard of anyone being bitten. Littleton, Colorado, south of Denver. I thought maybe it was in that part of Colorado that used to be in Texas. Texas extended up into what is now Wyoming back before it became a state. Fang fiction allows one to use their imagination and travel into the unknown. Just think how much fun it would be if you went around biting people on their neck and being able to live forever. I have a vampire story. I was told by well known writer that I should change my vampire to a ghost. I didn't. My vampire story has a different twist. It's about a vegetarian vampire. Oh, it's still in my file.
